Significant Flight Center Development Announced at Felts Field

As part of an ongoing effort public and private investment at Felts Field Airport, locally owned EFT LLC is pleased to announce the construction of the Felts Field General Aviation Flight Center. The Flight Center will be a 40,000 square foot multi-tenant complex with an Art Deco style that will incorporate many of the elements found in the historic buildings and hangars on Felts Field. It will be located west of the Historic Spokane Airport Terminal building. The Flight Center will be home to Western Aviation and Honor Point Military and Aerospace Museum.

Tim Gump, President, EFT LLC commented, “I am honored to be part of a project that will benefit the Spokane Community. For many years Historic Felts Field has been in need of a first class FBO (Fix Base Operator) facility that provides the service one expects from a city of our size. Private and corporate aircraft flying into Felts Field will enjoy first class amenities tailored to accommodate passengers as well as flight crews. In addition, this facility will be home to Honor Point Military and Aerospace Museum. After almost twenty years the dream of the Honor Point Museum visionaries is coming to pass. This is truly a win-win for our community. I would like to thank my partners Fred Lopez and Ed Lansberg for their support for making this venture happen, Paul Harrington of South Henry Studios for designing a facility that incorporated the historic elements of the airport into this new facility, Blew’s Construction for taking on this unique project, Washington Trust Bank for believing in Spokane's future to finance the project and Larry Krauter, CEO, Spokane Airports for his vision, encouragement and support of this project."

Western Aviation is Felts Field’s only “Fixed Base Operator” (FBO). The FBO offers many services to the flying community including aircraft maintenance, avionics installation, hangar rental, pilot supply and gift shop, fuel, and other services for the local aviator as well as transient aircraft passengers and flight crews.

Larry Krauter, Chief Executive Officer, Spokane Airports stated, “Thank you Tim Gump and EFT LLC for making this strategic investment in Felts Field and for supporting the vision that we established to combine a first class FBO with a home for the Honor Point Armed Forces and Aerospace Museum in the Felts Field Historic District.”

For many years Honor Point Museum has been diligently trying to secure a location from which to operate. Their dream of a new home is now coming true. Catherine Brazil, President, Honor Point Armed Forces & Aerospace Museum, stated, “We are very excited and appreciative to Tim Gump and the Spokane Airport Board and staff for helping us find a home. This will be an interactive, event driven space that will provide learning of history, aviation and STEM for all generations.

Paul Harrington of South Henry Studios designed the conceptual Art Deco style of the Flight Center. The project will be financed through Washington Trust Bank and constructed by Blew's Construction. EFT LLC expects the Flight Center to be completed by the end of the year.
